Traditional Ifa/Orisa

Ifá, Òrìṣà, and Lukumí are spiritual traditions rooted in the ancient Yoruba culture of West Africa and preserved throughout the diaspora. These systems encompass divination, ritual practice, herbal knowledge (Ewé), and deep philosophical teachings centered on alignment with destiny and spiritual balance.

Ifá divination, guided by the wisdom of Ọ̀rúnmìlà, provides insight into life’s challenges and pathways. Òrìṣà represent divine forces of nature and consciousness, each associated with specific energies, elements, and human experiences. Lukumí, as practiced in the diaspora, preserves many of these traditions while adapting to new cultural contexts.

These traditions emphasize character (ìwà), alignment with destiny, and maintaining balance between the physical and spiritual worlds.
